.DISCUSSION...
No hazardous fire weather concerns are expected at this time.
Relative humidity values and winds will remain outside of
critical thresholds.
Isolated thunderstorms will develop into scattered thunderstorms
through the day today across north Georgia. Storms will expand
southward into central Georgia through the afternoon. Widespread
severe weather is not anticipated, but stronger storms will be
capable of wind gusts that could cause damage to trees. Locally
excessive rainfall may be possible with slower moving storms.
Storms will continue off and on through the coming days, peaking
in the afternoon/evening and tapering off overnight and into the
mornings. This is the beginning of a rainy and wet period that
will see min RHs remain relatively high with multiple rounds of
thunderstorms and rainfall through the end of the week. The
lowest RHs through the next several days will be this afternoon
in east central Georgia with RHs maybe dropping into the mid
30 percent range. This will mean regular cloud cover as well.
Winds through tomorrow will be light overnight, going SW at
5-10 mph during the morning hours. Winds will likely be variable
to gusty in the afternoons due to thunderstorm outflows. Mixing
heights each day will be 3 to 4kft in north Georgia and 5 to 7kft
in central Georgia.
