...HIGH FIRE DANGER CONDITIONS THIS AFTERNOON INTO THE EVENING
FOR PARTS OF NORTH GEORGIA DUE TO LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITIES...
Dry conditions will remain through the week under a persistent
high pressure pattern. Minimum RH values this afternoon are
forecast to largely range from 25-30 percent in north Georgia,
though some locations may decrease to under 25 percent in areas
along and just north of the I-20 corridor. Winds will be NE at
7-12 mph while areas along and north will be bear N at 4-8 mph.
Mixing heights will peak between 3000-4000 ft this afternoon.
Temperatures and dewpoints will rise slightly on Tuesday. Minimum
RH values are forecast to range from 25-30 percent in areas south
of I- 85 and 30-35 percent in areas to the north. Winds on
Tuesday will be NE at 5-10 mph in areas south of I-85 and N/NW at
4-8 mph in areas to the north. Mixing heights on Tuesday will
range from 4000-5000 ft on Tuesday afternoon.
