Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
139 PM EDT Mon Apr 6 2026

.DISCUSSION...
A dry air mass will remain over the region through the week. A
dry, cold front will push through the Southeast on Tuesday night
and Wednesday leading to gusty winds from 20 to 30 mph on
Wednesday. Afternoon RH values through Wednesday will likely fall
between 20 and 30 percent each day. With both dry air and gusty winds
on Wednesday, we expect this day to be the most concerning for
fire weather. Some moisture recovery is expected starting on
Thursday, allowing Min RH values to rise above critical values.

Fog potential tonight: No fog expected
