and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
1235 PM EST Tue Feb 3 2026

.DISCUSSION...
Moisture continues to increase tonight ahead of an incoming
system and cold front from the west where isolated to scattered
rain chances could move in early Wednesday morning. Rain is then
expected to become more widespread through the day, ending Wednesday
night. Overall, 0.25-0.50" of rain is expected but spots up to
0.75-1" could be possible in the central Midlands. The cold front
then moves through Wednesday night, shifting winds out of the
northwest. Drier weather then moves in for the late week with
5-10 mph northwest winds Thursday shifting southwesterly Friday
where some breezy winds could be possible. Dry weather is then
expected to continue this weekend and into the early week.

Fog potential tonight: Fog is not expected tonight.
