Fire Weather Planning Forecast for North and Central Georgia
National Weather Service Peachtree City GA
116 PM EST Tue Feb 3 2026

No hazardous fire weather concerns are expected through Thursday.
Wetting rainfall will overspread the region tonight, with amounts
in the 0.25 to 0.75 inch range anticipated. The rainfall will
conclude by Wednesday evening, but its effects should keep fuels
moist into Thursday. Winds will transition from the southwest to
northwest on Wednesday, then be consistent from the northwest on
Thursday. The strongest winds during this period will occur
Wednesday night, but occasional gusts in the 15 to 20 mph range
may still occur on Thursday. Humidity values will decline with
the northwest winds on Thursday. Values below 25% are unlikely,
but a couple hours in the 25 to 40% range are favored Thursday
afternoon.
