Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Much of Wrn NC...NW SC and NE GA
National Weather Service Greenville-Spartanburg SC
1238 PM EST Tue Feb 3 2026

.DISCUSSION...
1. Warmer today with precipitation chances returning to the
mountains by late afternoon or early evening, and to the remainder
of the area tonight. Light snow accumulation under 1 inch could
occur in higher mountain elevations.
2. Low pressure moving along a stalled cold front will keep
precipitation over the area Wednesday. The precip diminishes
Wednesday night as the low and cold front move out of the area.
3. A brief round of mountain snow is possible Friday night,
otherwise temperatures return to seasonal averages through the
weekend.
