.DISCUSSION...Today and tonight...A weak system will bring
occasional light snow to the mountains through this evening with
additional snowfall up to 3 inches. In addition, a mix of rain,
snow and even some freezing drizzle is expected to develop this
evening over Larimer and northern Weld counties, with lesser
chances further south and east across the plains. Smoke dispersal
expected to remain poor, except a small window of fair dispersal
possibly over the higher mountains and higher terrain of the
plains this afternoon. Temperatures will be similar to Sunday but
humidity levels will be a bit higher.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Tuesday through Friday...There will be a slight
chance of light snow mainly in the mountains on Tuesday. Temperatures
will be colder with higher humidity levels. A storm system will
track well south of the area Wednesday into Thursday. However, this
system may still bring a chance of snow to the mountains and portions
of the plains. Temperatures will remain below normal. Friday will
be dry with warmer temperatures.
