.DISCUSSION...
We will need to monitor conditions for elevated fire weather
concerns across the Coastal Plains and Northern Brush Country as
RH values fall into the upper teens to around 20%. While winds
will be light, our Energy Release Component will be in the
90-95th percentile. Based on our RFTI and ERC%, we could see RFD
conditions met this afternoon. Low Relative humidity values of
20-30% across the Brush Country and Coastal Plains early in the
work week will be accompanied by light southwest to southeast
winds. Winds remain light and shift northeasterly as a frontal
boundary approaches the region from the northeast early Wednesday.
Confidence remains low that the front will move across South
Texas. There's a low to moderate 20-35% chance for showers and
thunderstorms across much of the region for the second half of the
week.
