Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Extreme Southeast Arkansas,
Northeast Louisiana, and Central Mississippi
National Weather Service Jackson MS
216 PM CDT Sat Sep 7 2024

.DISCUSSION... A cold front is moving southward across the area,
resulting in drier and cooler conditions through the weekend.
Recent rains will result in damp fuels and low fire weather
concern despite lowered humidity and breezy afternoon northerlies.
The next rain chances are likely by midweek with incoming
tropical moisture. Patchy, shallow fog mostly in protected areas
will be possible around dawn Sunday but widespread nor dense fog
are anticipated.
