.DISCUSSION...Over the next few days, high pressure will gradually sink
into the region from the northwest with dry weather continuing across the
region. Deep mixing is expected during the late morning and early-to-mid
afternoon hours each day, with mixing heights rising to around 7-8 kft.
As the high approaches the area, wind speeds from the surface to the top
of the afternoon mixed layer will progressively weaken, limiting overall
dispersion values for Wednesday into Thursday. This deep mixing should also
allow for some very dry air in the mid-levels to make it down to the surface.
While scattered cumulus today might temper the greatest dry air mixdown,
minimum RH values should fall into the upper 20s and low-to-mid 30s in many
locations this afternoon, with even lower values possible on Wednesday.
