.DISCUSSION...
Scattered showers will end over southwest Illinois and southeast
Missouri by mid morning. A cold front will move southeast through the
area today causing winds to shift to the northwest during the morning
and early afternoon. These winds will veer to the northeast on
Saturday and be gusty at times as minimum relative humidity values
fall into the 25 to 35 percent range.
Temperatures will be near normal this weekend, but the climb 15 to 20
degrees above normal Monday into Wednesday. With these gusty south
winds, moderate to low humidity, and dry fuels, we will continue to
need to monitor to the possibility of elevated fire danger early
next week.
