.DISCUSSION...
Above normal warmth will continue today on strong southerly flow
with highs ranging from the mid-50s to near 60 degrees. Southerly
winds will occasionally gust to around 25 mph, especially east of
the Mississippi River. This run ahead of a cold front that will bring
light to much of the area. A few thunderstorms may accompany the
front tonight along and west of the Mississippi River, coinciding
with the highest rainfall amounts. Probabilities for 0.25" of rain
extend in a narrow swath from central to northeast Missouri with
amount tapering off to the southeast. Winds turn out of the west
and northwest Sunday behind the front with dry conditions expected
to extend into next week.
