Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern North Carolina
National Weather Service Newport/Morehead City NC
328 AM EST Fri Dec 8 2023

.DISCUSSION...
High pressure over the area will slide offshore today pushing
further into the Atlantic on Saturday. With dry air still in place
RH's will get into the mid 30s across the Coastal Plain but winds
will continue to remain light. A strong cold front will cross the
region late Sunday bringing strong southerly winds and increased
chances of showers and thunderstorms. High pressure will build back
into the area by early next week once again bringing fair weather
back to ENC.
