.DISCUSSION...
Elevated fire weather conditions are expected across West Central
Texas this afternoon. This is when southwest winds 10-20 mph with
higher gusts will be combined with RH values dropping to
13-18 percent. A cold front will move south across the northern
half of the area during the day Monday, and across the southern
half of the area early Monday night. Winds from the southeast to
east will shift to the northeast following this frontal passage.
Minimum afternoon RH Monday will be 20-30 percent across most of
the area, although a few southern locations may drop to less than
20%. Southeast to south winds will return Tuesday and continue
into Wednesday, before the next cold frontal passage Wednesday
night. Somewhat gusty north to northeast winds are expected to
follow this frontal passage. RH values will not be as low
beginning Tuesday and continuing into the late part of the week.
No significant rainfall is expected through the week.
